morando donates sculpture
The idea to donate a sculpture for the busy roundabout situated on the outskirts of the famous Italian wine city of Asti was initiated by morando. Claudio Restagno, head of the morando purchasing department as well as Honorary Mayor of Vigone had asked his friend Elio Garis, who also lives in Vigone, whether he would be interested in designing a sculpture for the Keller company using prefabricated industrial parts from Rieter and morando. Mr Garis was so thrilled by the project that he immediately started work on the design.
The result was an avant-garde sculpture assembled and constructed at the morando workshop under supervision of the artist. Even before the design drawings were finalized, Claudio Restagno had already ensured that all legal formalities of the project were complied with. That is why the sculpture could be inaugurated without further delay on 30 May 2012, only a few days after the Ceramitec fair.
