Dear readers,

Brazil‘s heavy clay sector is preparing for the 40th National Meeting of the red ceramic industry, which this year will be held from 24th to 27th of August in Vitória, the capital of Espírito Santo state.
Year by year, the National Meeting attracts more Expoanicer exhibitors and a greater number of Brazilian and South American entrepreneurs. This pleases us greatly, of course.
The Brazilian domestic construction market is still “hot“, though not quite as feverish as it was a short time ago. Our main aim is to keep the industry in a position to satisfy the full demand.
Due to growing environmental awareness and to all the new standards and legal requirements it spawns, we have included in our programme of technology workshops and forums such issues as life-cycle analysis of ceramic products and energy efficiency in factories. These are crucial matters. Our product life-cycle analyses will serve to show both the public and the government the advantages of ceramic materials as the most natural and sustainable that the market has to offer.
For a country that is in the process of building two major hydropower plants in support of economic growth in all areas, energy efficiency is of major importance. By addressing this issue, we will show entrepreneurs how they can spend less on energy, improve product quality and support the growth of the country by properly managing their consumption of energy.
A mere two weeks after its official announcement, Expoanicer the 14th had already sold 62% of its floor space. That fact alone reflects the good condition our industry is in. Numerous companies are seeking to expand their production capacities and modernize their plant and equipment.
See you at the 40th National Meeting!
Yours
Luis Carlos Barbosa Lima
President of Anicer
