Ceric Technologies launches new generation of Pelerin extruders
Late last October, Ceric Technologies unveiled their latest innovation – the Pelerin Demeter 730 ER MRP 12–25 extruder. As the largest Demeter-series extruder, it features a higher throughput rate, a 40% larger de-airing chamber and numerous additional optimizations. Managing director Jean-Jacques Wagner and Thierry Petra, director of industrial operations, showed us their new product and a lot of other interesting things about the Pelerin label and Ceric Technologies.
Zi: What made you decide to expand the top end of your extruder line?
J.-J.W.: In the “old” Ceric Group, Pelerin was accompanied by two other producers of preparation and shaping machines, Rieter and Morando, all under one roof. Consequently, the Pelerin label was not promoted as strongly as we now plan to do. Pelerin catered primarily to the French, north African and Russian markets. All in all, we have delivered roughly 3 000 machines, 66 of which went to Algerian plants: excavators, mixers and extruders. Some 80% of all French heavy clay producers have Pelerin systems.
