Tecnargilla 2014 reports new visitor record
According to a report from Tecnargilla, the leading international trade fair for technologies for the whitewares and clay brick and tile industry held from 22 to 26 September 2014, the event welcomed 32120 visitors (+5.5% on 2012). The organizers also reported a record for international visitors: 15 770 trade visitors from abroad correspond to a 6.4% growth compared to 2012. The international visitors came from 101 countries and accounted for 49% of the total number of visitors, confirming Tecnargilla’s high internationality. A large number of the trade visitors were decision-makers in technical functions, representatives of the management or top managers of leading companies in the whitewares and clay brick and tile industries.
After the decline registered in 2012, the number of Italian visitors also grew again in 2014. This is an important indicator of the willingness of Italian ceramic companies to invest in innovative technologies again. 16 350 industry professionals visited the fair (+4.6% on 2012).
Technological innovation was the focus of the event. The 500 exhibitors on 75 000 m²(+7 % on 2012) in Rimini showcased their latest technological innovations for the production and aesthetic design for the whitewares and heavy clay industries.
In the Claytech halls, besides Italian exhibitors, international suppliers to the clay brick and tile industry showcased their products and services.
