Werner Keller †
Werner Keller was born in Ibbenbüren-Laggenbeck in 1924. After the war he studied political economics at the University of Münster. In 1950, holding a diploma degree in Economics, he joined the management board of the traditional Laggenbeck company of the same name, leading it until 1986 with tireless personal commitment, great vision and tenacity fully in the spirit of his grandfather and company founder Carl Keller.
Werner Keller played a significant role in setting the course for the modern brick industry. Under his leadership, the machine factory C. Keller evolved and turned into one of the world’s foremost successful plant builders in the heavy clay industry. Apart from that, Werner Keller was always very attached to his home town and was engaged in voluntary activities.
“With the death of Werner Keller”, expresses Keller General Manager Dr. Jochen Nippel, “we lost a personality that, due to his human greatness and technical expertise was equally respected and valued by customers, suppliers and employees alike. We will always hold him in the highest esteem.”
