VDMA – Construction Equipment and Building Material Machinery

Positive trend continues

In 2010 the German construction equipment and building material machinery industry saw 13-% growth in turnover to € 10.6 bill. Of this total, the construction machinery sector accounted for € 6.3 bill. euros, whereas € 4.3 bill. euros were generated by the construction equipment, glass and ceramics machinery sectors. Manufacturers of building materials machinery were only able to report minimal growth in turnover by just 1%. For the current year the industry is expecting to see another 10‑% growth in each of the two segments.
