Constroi Angola 2010
Constroi Angola – the Exhibition for Building Materials and Construction Equipment – takes place in Luanda from October 14 - 17, 2010. The event is another building block in the portfolio of international exhibitions involving IMAG, which will serve as an international partner. Given its experience in the international construction sector, IMAG will help organizers to continue developing the exhibition into a platform for globally active companies. Right now, the chances of that happening are very good. Since its premiere in 2003, the fair has more the quadrupled in size. Besides reaching the most important decision-makers in all of Angola, the event also addresses trade visitors in neighboring countries.
A total of 300 exhibitors showcased their companies at Constroi Angola in 2009, and some 14,000 visitors attended the fair. That was an 18% increase over the previous year. Ninety percent of all exhibitors opted to participate in the fair again in 2010.
However, thanks to healthy economic growth in Angola, the exhibition is also extremely interesting for international exhibitors. Angola's investments in reconstruction, especially in infrastructure and residential construction, are by far the highest on the African continent. In 2008, the real growth rate in Angola was 13.2%. After a decline in 2009, estimates for 2010 are positive again, with growth expected to be 6.2%.
IMAG currently organizes more than 40 events in approximately 20 countries. Its current exhibition portfolio includes construction exhibitions in Algeria, China, India, Vietnam, Russia, Iran, Morocco and the United Arab Emirates. Thanks to its knowhow and close cooperation with efficient partners in Angola, Constroi Angola promises to continue evolving into a successful African trade show for the construction sector.
