Hörl & Hartmann acquires 100 % shares in Ziegelwerk Klosterbeuren
With this new constellation of brick plants, a company has been formed with 200 employees, which markets around 300 mill. standard-size bricks per year. That corresponds to 440 000 t brick. “We are delighted to have found in Hörl & Hartmann the right partner for our succession plan”, explains Thomas Thater, Commercial Director at Ziegelwerk Klosterbeuren. Alongside its plants in Dachau and Gerst-hofen Hörl & Hartmann is therefore now building up its third production site in Southern Germany. “As a family-run company, we have stood for innovation, quality and sustainable actions since 1896”, explains Managing Partner Matthias Hörl. “The acquisition of the shares in Ziegelwerk Klosterbeuren is therefore a very important step for the development of Hörl & Hartmann.”
Ziegelwerk sustainably assured in the long term
Ziegelwerk Klosterbeuren will remain in an independent company and brand in future. Michael and Matthias Hörl will be joining the company management alongside the existing Managing Director Thomas Thater. All employees will be retained so that nothing is changing for the customers. They can continue to turn to their usual contact. Moreover, the full product range will be retained and is, according to the company, to be extended with selected technical developments. With the exchange of many years of experience and the increase in technical consulting, added value is to be created. For the forthcoming years, an investment plan has been drawn up.
