New machinery for production, handling and packaging
“For 150 years now, the Petershagen-Heisterholz facility has been known for roof-tile competence”, muses plant manager Michael Lackner. “This new production line therefore unites tradition and modernity.” By adopting innovative plant technology and providing the staff with comprehensive training, Braas achieved a distinct optimization of the plant’s capacity utilization rate. One example: It doubled Braas’ production capacity for roof tile accessories in Petershagen-Heisterholz. Right now, it is turning out accessories for all roof tile models produced not only at the Petershagen-Heisterholz facility, but also for those made in Hainstadt. Typical examples include verge tiles for neat roof edges, ridge tiles and vent tiles – totalling more than 70 products in over 20 colours.
As a leading supplier of complete roof systems, Braas operates, among other facilities, four roof tile factories in Germany. Petershagen turns out accessory products and a selection of roof tile models for Braas’ sales regions in Petershagen, Rahmstorf and Monheim. The facility has a present staff of 80, including four apprentices.
