Welcome to the 65th Clemson Brick Forum 2019

The 2019 Clemson Brick Forum will mark the 65^th meeting of the Brick Industry, hosted by the National Brick Research Center (NBRC) at Clemson University. This year the meeting will be on October 1st and 2nd (Tuesday and Wednesday) in Anderson, SC near the Clemson main campus. This meeting is a time for manufacturers and suppliers to reconnect and discuss the future.

Based on input from the manufacturers who sponsor the NBRC, there will be an increased focus on manufacturing-related presentations. Several presentations about raw material preparation, extrusion, drying and firing have been scheduled in addition about innovations such as thin brick, 3D printing and inkjet printing. Presentations on thermal performance, fire resistance and impact resistance of brick masonry wall systems will also be covered.

Suppliers to the brick industry will have displays and offer educational seminars about new and existing product solutions. These educational seminars offer a smaller group setting which facilitates discussion and the sharing of information, and have been very popular since they were added two years ago. The Forum will feature a hospitality event each evening so that attendees can relax and have more time to discuss issues.

The Forum will conclude with a reception sponsored by J.C. Steele & Sons and the annual steak cookout where attendees cook their own steak while enjoying fellowship with their fellow attendees.
