2012 raw materials award goes to Goerg & Schneider
In the course of a multi-stage investment project, Goerg & Schneider sustainably enhanced the energy efficiency of production for ceramic and refractory raw chamottes. The main contributing factors were an energy-optimized new tunnel dryer, an upgraded gas and control section for the kiln, and the replacement/refurbishment of all tunnel kiln cars.
Moreover, the company‘s energy efficiency policy was successfully confirmed by the initial implementation of an audited energy management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001:2011 in May 2012.
This blend of progress and events underpins the competitive capacity of this producer of ceramic raw clays, chamottes and ready-to-used body compositions, and it stands as a good example of how to conserve natural resources.
