Ceramitec 2009, the 11th International Trade Fair for Machinery, Equipment, Plants, Processes and Raw Materials for Ceramics and Powder Metallurgy, is a centre of competence and innovations forum for all segments of the ceramics industry, with a first-class exhibition structure. All the key ceramics markets of the world will be back again in Munich from 20 to 23 October 2009 – because there is simply no better opportunity for meeting up with the global ceramics industry, all in one place.
Ceramitec is an industry event which brings together all the key decision-makers in a single compact forum. Even in tougher economic times, this event is proving its worth to companies as the most important meeting place of international class: over 600 exhibitors from 35 countries are expected to take part this year. Moreover all the main players in the ceramics industry will be there. Given the current downturn, this is indeed a very positive signal, and it is also a sign of the trust the industry places in this leading international trade fair.
Further evidence of this – once more – is the strong international participation: At this year’s event, too, the proportion of exhibitors coming to Munich from abroad is again very high, at over 50%. This underlines Ceramitec’s position as the industry exhibition with the broadest international scope.
We are also very pleased that alongside the wide spectrum of products and services presented at the stands of our exhibitors, we will again be putting on an extensive conference programme of specialist lectures and panel discussions in the Ceramitec Forum. Featured again in 2009 is a joint stand of higher educational establishments where universities and colleges present their latest research and projects. Also, the VDMA (German Engineering Federation) will be putting on a special display on the subject of energy and cost-efficiency.
I look forward to welcoming you to Ceramitec 2009 and wish all our exhibitors and visitors, and you – dear Readers of Zi Ziegelindustrie International – a most successful time at the event!
Yours,
Eugen Egetenmeir
