Sto acquires Ströher

On 18 November 2015, Sto SE & Co. KGaA acquired a majority holding in Ströher GmbH headquartered in Dillenburg, Germany. With around 240 employees and annual sales of around € 32 mill., Ströher GmbH is an internationally leading manufacturer of bricks and ceramics for use in high-quality facades and floors indoors and outdoors.
In the segment for brick slips for use on façades and in thermal insulation composite systems, Ströher offers attractive product ranges and comprehensive manufacturing expertise. Ströher GmbH and the Sto Group are planning to widen their activities extensively, especially in the brick slips and thermal insulation composite systems and further improve their respective market positions with their collaboration. To this end the Façades division at Ströher GmbH and the TICS division in the Sto Group will network closely and combine the different product and system strengths.
The acquisition is subject to approval by the relevant cartel authorities.
