Grenzebach and Lingl agree on know-how cooperation
Being a market-leadingsupplier of machinery and plants with detailed market knowledge in the global heavy clay industry, Lingl will offer the complete range from the design up to the commissioning of the plant. Grenzebach, one of the leading suppliers of handling, machining and automation technology, developed the fully automatic system for filling bricks with small mineral wool cubes. Apart from providing access to the market Lingl will supply the brick conveying systems for the filling installations, and in doing so the interfaces are clearly defined.
In the year 2007 Grenzebach, in cooperation with Ziegelwerk Bellenberg in Southern Germany, had already developed a system for filling bricks with mineral wool pads and filed a patent for it. After having realized some projects together, Grenzebach and Lingl decided to enter into an official cooperation in brick filling technology. The high degree of customer orientation and the commitment to technical capability of the two companies form the basis for this cooperation which has now been formally sealed. With this step Lingl is expanding its product portfolio and is able to serve its customers with a broadened spectrum of brick filling systems.
The foundation for the cooperative and successful teamwork between the two companies was laid in 2007 when the contract for cooperation between Lingl and Grenzebach China was concluded.
Plant description
Some of the main characteristics of the system for filling bricks with small mineral wool cubes are the solid technology which ensures a high degree of plant availability and minimal maintenance requirements. It is possible to operate the plant on a semi-automatic or fully automatic basis. The space requirement is comparatively low so that the brick filling installation can easily be integrated into existing production lines.
For filling the bricks the mineral wool slabs are fed into the line and sawed lengthwise and crosswise to the cube size required for the brick perforation. The sawing of the accurately fitting small mineral wool cubes is determined by the hole pattern of the bricks to be filled. The mineral wool cubes are positioned for being filled into the bricks in the required number, the correct position and the appropriate distance between each other.
Contrary to other solutions the damageable mineral wool cubes are safely conveyed in special channels to the filling position in the system. Several prepared bricks are filled within one cycle. The bricks can either be filled by portal pushers or robots, depending on the customer‘s demands. The design and performance level of the system is tailored to the customer‘s requirements, allowing for various configurations. The filled brick exhibits very good thermal transmittance values and improved sound protection, making additional heat insulation unnecessary.
Features like the reasonably priced plant technology, compact size and simple operability characterize this outstanding technology as proven by the number of successfully realized plants. The individual modular plant variants as well as the high plant availability are further convincing arguments for this filling technology.
