Dear Readers,
Not long now to the 41st National Meeting of the ceramic industry and to Expoanicer, the trade fair for the suppliers of machinery and equipment as well as raw materials to our sector. This year the meeting and trade fair will be held in Campo Grande, the capital city of the Mato Grosso do Sul state, in the Centre-West region of Brazil, from 15 to 18 August.
Our Expoanicer trade fair differs from any other event in the sector in that as a touring trade show, it is organized by our Anicer association parallel to the National Meeting. Owing to the vast size of Brazil, it was necessary to hold the event in different regions, so as to reach a higher number of participants and show the advantages of a national association to the sector, which, at the time, had many relatively small associations in the various states, but was yet to have any national representation.
This National Meeting grew and the opportunity arose to create the supplier fair parallel to it. The result was convincing and the trade fair too has grown with each edition. In view of the large number of ceramics plants all over the country and the diversity of subjects addressed, the event is now held annually.
Today, we can say it has become a not-to-be-missed event for all those working in the sector, ceramists, equipment manufacturers, consultants, etc. Not taking part in this event might mean a whole year being lost.
Taking advantage of excellent economic situation in the country, especially in the construction sector, we are sure this year’s event will be the largest we ever have had. Encouraging signs are already the number of registered exhibitors and the number of participants set to attend the Annual Meeting. With all this, we should like to invite everyone to join us at this year’s Expoanicer. Let us visit another Brazilian state that is full of potential as well as being a naturally beautiful region.
See you all at the event!
Yours
Luis Carlos Barbosa Lima
President of Anicer
