A welcome to the Würzburg Brick and Tile Training Course
Not long now and the German brick and tile industry’s “bazaar” – the Würzburg Brick and Tile Training Course 2016 – will be opening its doors again.
Our course is taking place for the 55th time, without interruption. For me as course director, it is always exciting to fill the days of the next course with an interesting programme. The programme committee meets in spring and begins putting together the programme for that year. This time too, I am impressed by all the new things that have been devised and developed since the last course and what potential for development can still be found in our products and their production.
Especially in today’s fast-living times, it is more important than ever to stay on the ball, to keep learning and informing about new things as well as the state of the art with regard to our products, production technology and relevant general conditions. For this it is essential to keep abreast of the latest findings from research and the field and also to learn about innovations in all areas of production. The goal must then be to transfer these new things into the production plants so as to manufacture ever better and competitive clay brick and tile products for our modern building culture.
And so I cordially invite you, dear readers of “our trade journal” Zi Brick and Tile Industry International, to join us at this year’s Würzburg Brick and Tile Training Course from 6 to 8 December. Well-known speakers and experts from the industry will present you the latest information. This year too, you can look forward to a diverse and interesting programme.
Besides the wealth of technical information presented in the talks, there will, of course, be the opportunity to establish contacts with colleagues from the branch and exchange experience. Fascinating insights into another building materials industry will be provided by the excursion, which this year is heading to Schwenk Cement Works in Karlstadt.
You can find summaries of all the talks in this issue of Zi, from page 8. All details on the course can be found on our Internet page at //www.wuerzburger-ziegellehrgang.de" target="_blank" >www.wuerzburger-ziegellehrgang.de:www.wuerzburger-ziegellehrgang.de.
I hope that you have already registered. As you know, places are limited and always in demand!
As course director, I look forward to welcoming many of you to this year’s 55th Brick and Tile Training Course in Würzburg.
Yours Joachim Deppisch
Director of the Würzburg Brick and Tile Training Course
