Ceramatech shows positive outlook for the Russian market
“We weighed up the pros and cons for quite some time whether Keller should turn its back on Mosbuild and exhibit at Ceramatech instead (as a part of the OCM Construction Materials trade fair)”, explains Kim Bendick, PR Manager at the renowned machine and plant manufacturer in Ibbenbüren-Laggenbeck. “The overwhelming response we have had in the past four days is convincing evidence that our decision for a change was right. The exhibition has shown a positive outlook for the market!”
This view is shared by the two members of the Keller sales staff Torsten Bärtels and Björn Braukmann who, working from their office in Laggenbeck, have been responsible for the Russian market for many years. “Our stand was always well attended – we met long-standing customers as well as new prospective customers from the heavy clay industry. Besides a lot of praise from our satisfied customers, the meeting notes taken at Ceramatech 2017 also contain various requests for individual machines and plant expansions. The economy seems to have bottomed out; the Russian market is slowly picking up again”, Torsten Bärtels is happy to report.
The area sales manager is particularly proud that the plants built by Keller have been producing bricks without interruption even in difficult economic times. “Industry experts have reported that many factories built by other suppliers have had to be closed down. Thanks to the high quality of the products made with our machines and plants and the excellent service we offer our Russian customers through our office in Moscow, our customers have overcome the years of crisis very well. If that is not a good advertisement ...”, concludes Mr Bärtels.
