Dirk Hümmer – new technical/commercial manager at Ströher

On 1 January 2020, Dirk Hümmer took up his position as technical/commercial managing director in Dillenburg. Together with Patrick Schneider, who as managing director is responsible for the entire sales, domestic and export business as well as marketing and product management across all brands, he manages the business of the Ströher Group.

Dillenburg will thus continue to rely on a proven dual leadership in the management of the corporate group. The 55-year-old has many years of experience in the international ceramics industry. After completing his engineering studies, specializing in ceramics, at the Rhineland-Palatinate University of Applied Sciences in Koblenz, Hümmer started his professional career as plant manager at Röben Tonbau-stoffe GmbH. After working for several years as plant manager and technical manager in various companies in the German and Swiss brick industry, he joined Wienerberger AG in 2012. There he held various positions including head of production and operations and member of the management board in various subsidiaries of the Group, finally as managing director of Pipelife GmbH, a subsidiary of Wienerberger AG.
