Erlus AG turns over nearly € 119 million in 2013

For the first time in the company’s century-plus history, Erlus AG has managed to generate revenues in excess of € 115 million for three consecutive years. The 2013 sales volume of nearly € 119 million weighed in at only 0.2% below 2012’s record turnover.

Expenditures for raw materials, operating media and expendables plus purchased goods increased by € 1.4 million (2.8%) to € 53.2 million last year. At year’s end, Erlus AG had a workforce of 533 (2012: 526) plus 19 trainees (2012: 17). On average, the number of Erlus employees came to 538 (2012: 522).

In the course of the reporting period, Erlus AG invested € 11.2 million in tangible assets and another € 0.4 million in intangible assets. The overall investment volume was approx. € 5.5 million lower than the year before. Focal points of investment included the modernization of a production line in Neufahrn. The company’s research and development activities were continued intensely in 2013. With regard to roofing materials, priority was attached to further optimizing Erlus’ surface coatings.

For the current year, Erlus AG is anticipating sales and profits on about the same levels as in 2013.
