GIMA Girnghuber GmbH places another order with Lingl
Girnghuber GmbH (GIMA) continues its prosperous cooperation with Lingl by entrusting the supplier with the automation of the loading and unloading installation for accessory roofing tiles as well as with the integration of a robot for setter preparation in the Roof Tile Plant II.
The company, which is still run by its owner and based in Marklkofen in the Bavarian Vilstal, has been producing construction materials from clay for more than 110 years now. The range of products includes masonry bricks, sound-absorbing bricks for sound-insulating walls used in road engineering, clinker and hand-moulded bricks, complete brick suspension roofs, large-size façade panels with the brand name “Möding” as well as roofing tiles sold on the market under the brand name “Erlus”.
More than 30 years ago, Lingl already delivered a kiln car loading and unloading installation for facing bricks with subsequent packing installation to Marklkofen. Further installations were delivered by Lingl in the following years, mainly for the roofing tile production on the company’s site. Last year, an upgrading of the wet and dry side with dryer car loading was successfully completed there.
Lingl is currently installing a new packing installation for pressed interlocking roof tiles which will allow GIMA to offer transport packs with smaller packing units to the roofing trade. The additional order placed with Lingl in April 2013 includes the automation of the loading and unloading installation for accessory roofing tiles as well as the conversion of the outdated Siemens S5 control unit to Simatic S7.
