New pilot burner from Elster Kromschröder
Key feature of the ceramic tube is its extremely high thermal stability. At high temperatures the ZMIC has a considerably longer service life than the ZMI which is equipped with a metallic flame tube. In addition, a longer and sharper flame is formed by the ceramic tube thanks to the tapered combustion chamber. The more stable pilot burner flame is an advantage since it prevents any possible deflection or cooling caused by the main burner air flow. Available in various lengths, the new ZMIC 28 ionization pilot burner is versatile and flexible. Furthermore, variants with a bellows unit are available for installation free of mechanical stress. With a rated capacity of 3 kW, the pilot burners made of ceramic can be operated with different types of gas. If they are used in a pilot/main burner system, the use of automatic burner control units of types BCU 480 or PFU 780 from Elster Kromschröder is recommended in order to ensure optimal operation. All pilot burners in the ZMI/ZMIC series can be used in single-electrode operation and ensure the safe ignition of gas burners. However, they are also suitable for use as independent burners.
