Northcot Brick orders robotic gripper head
As Craven Fawcett’s customer Northcot Brick, one of the UK’s longest established brick manufacturers, needed a bespoke gripper head for a standard robotic assembly, Craven introduced Northcot to Sabo. Northcot Brick had been using a robot to pick and place bricks for 20 years, but required a replacement robot as spare parts were no longer available, and after-sales service was not offered any more on this equipment. The new robotic brick gripper head will incorporate programmable servo drives for brick spacing, making the process much quicker and more efficient. Once the equipment is commissioned, Craven Fawcett will provide any future UK-based after-sales services and support to the customer.
Northcot Brick, based in Gloucestershire in the UK, has been a Craven Fawcett customer for over 60 years, with the company supplying new equipment, as well as spare parts for Craven Fawcett machines, including roller mills, cutters and extruders as well as bespoke spare parts for machines from other manufacturers.
