Organizational modifications and changes under company law at the
Stephan Schmidt Group

For many decades, the Stephan Schmidt Group, one of the world’s leading producers of special clays and mineral products, has been firmly rooted in Germany’s Westerwald region with its individual companies.

In order to secure this success for the future, the company management has decided to streamline and accelerate internal processes and procedures while continuing to ensure the usual high quality of customer service and support.

To this end, some organizational modifications and changes under company law have been made within the Stephan Schmidt Group: As per 1 January 2020, Müllenbach & Thewald GmbH and Marx Bergbau GmbH & Co. KG – both already wholly-owned subsidiaries of Stephan Schmidt KG – have transferred their entire operations to Stephan Schmidt KG. Moreover, they will be legally merged into Stephan Schmidt KG at a later date. These future-oriented and future-safeguarding measures, however, will not entail any further organizational restructuring. The employees of Müllenbach & Thewald GmbH and of Marx Bergbau GmbH Co. KG will automatically become employees of Stephan Schmidt KG.
