Reducing emissions with the use of lighter weight ­materials in tunnel kiln car structures

Reducing emissions and the associated CO2 is an issue championed by the EU. It is becoming increasingly important to find the right answers to this problem.

The paper examines the relationships between lightweight kiln cars, energy saving and the resulting reductions in emissions. The potential cost savings are explained with reference to examples.
