Schönlind plant of Ziegelei Merkl becomes part of Ziegelwerke Leipfinger-Bader
The Schönlind plant of Ziegelei Merkl OHG (Vilseck-Schönlind) is becoming part of Leipfinger-Bader (Vatersdorf/Puttenhausen) with immediate effect. The company owners have agreed on this. Leipfinger-Bader GmbH & Co. KG specially founded for this purpose is acquiring the main assets of the business operations of the Schönlind brick plant, including property, production equipment and clay pits, but excluding any obligations and liabilities.
Leipfinger-Bader announced that all 24 jobs in Schönlind will be preserved. In the mid-term, the plan is to recruit more employees as Leipfinger-Bader is planning big investments in the Upper Palatinate. “We want to improve the quality at Schönlind as quickly as possible and adapt our capacities in thermally insulating high-precision clay bricks and blocks to meet the strong demand”, said Thomas Bader, owner of Ziegelwerke Leipfinger-Bader. In the mid-term Leipfinger-Bader wants to offer the customers a wider product range combined with a high level of service.
