Seven Refractories extends production plant

Just six years after its founding, Seven Refractories has celebrated a significant expansion of its main plant in Divaca, Slovenia.

Zdravko Pocivalšek, Minister of Economic Development and Technology, performed the grand opening ceremony, jointly with Erik Zobec, CEO of Seven Refractories. The festivities were attended by high-ranking officials from embassies in Slovenia, numerous clients and business partners as well as international representatives of Seven Refractories. In total, the Slovenian company welcomed guests from almost 20 countries and three continents.

Erik Zobec: “Aside from a vastly expanded in-house laboratory, we have added a new line and effectively doubled the actual capacity for our popular Seven TAP product. This significant investment has made us more flexible in reacting to customer demand.”

Increased capacity for modern refractories

With an additional capacity of 9 000 t refractory materials per year, the Divaca plant of Seven Refractories is now even more flexible when responding to short-term orders. Like the rest of the plant, the new line is also ready to be operated in an efficient three-shift rota.

“All things considered, planning and construction have taken us six months, explains plant manager Renzo Luretigh. “We are especially proud of our self-developed and dedicated extruder.
