Stephan Abraham is new operations manager
Hartsteinwerke Sooneck GmbH have appointed Stephan Abraham as its new operations manager. In his new position, he will hold the technical and economic responsibility for the quarrying operations in Trechtingshausen near Mainz, the capital of the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate, the company has announced. The new operations manager knows the quarry very well: before he advanced to his current position, he headed purchasing and material planning at the company. As operations manager, he now reports direct to the Beijer Group management.
Born in Bingen and now living in Bingerbrück, Stephan Abraham is very much “home-grown and from the region”, says the company. Having trained as a machine technician, he spent four years serving in the German army, before getting involved in the development of gas spring silencers in the vehicle laboratory at Bingen University of Applied Sciences. This design is still used in new vehicles, today. After this development work, Stephan Abraham held various senior positions at a major pipeline construction for 16 years. Amongst other things, he was responsible for purchasing, IT management and the machine fleet.
His first aims as operations manager at Hartsteinwerke Sooneck quarrying company include rejuvenation of the machine fleet at the quarry and expansion of sales in the Rhine-Main and Ruhr regions.
