bauma with new record in square metres

Arecord 555 000 square
metres and more of indoor and outdoor exhibition space (gross) at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre are being dedicated to a display of the latest products from the international construction, building-materials and mining machinery sectors between 19 and 25 April 2010. Again over 3 000 exhibitors are expected to make use of this event, the world’s biggest trade fair for the sector, as a platform for innovations and marketing.

bauma Forum 2010

The first time the bauma Forum was held in 2007, around 60 speakers delivered lectures on mining, tunnel construction and processing technology.

During the preparations for the forthcoming edition of bauma, exhibitors from other sections also proposed interesting themes, and these are now being included in an expanded programme.

One highlight in the many discussions and lectures will be the country specials which are being organized in cooperation with Germany´s engineering federation (Verband deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau – VDMA) on the markets of Asia, America, CIS/Russia and India. The Indian Union Cabinet Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Kamal Nath, will be opening a symposium on the first day of the fair on the construction industry and infrastructure in India.

The bauma Forum is once more positioned right in the heart of the fair, in Hall C2. Events will be held there on all six days of the fair, from 19 to 25 April. All visitors to bauma can attend the events and lectures here free of charge.
