25 years working for brick and ceramics manufacturers
Since 1996, the year in which the Czech company Aweld s.r.o. was founded, the company has specialized in manufacturing and regenerating wear parts, for example, augers, cylinder barrels or mixing paddles, as Aweld reports. In 2008, Aweld also began engineering its own machines and equipment for preparation and shaping (extrusion and pressing) of ceramic materials. According to information from the company, since its founding, Aweld has acquired many customers in sectors like, for example, the brick and tile industry and technical ceramics, all over Europe, but in Africa and Asia, too. Today, extruders, double-shaft mixers, box feeders, roller mills and all possible wear parts for these machines account for a significant segment of the company’s business activities. Aweld is also active in other industry sectors, e.g. energy technology, waste treatment and biomass processing or in technology sectors for the foodstuffs industry. With its own commercial agent, the company maintains a broad client base. To serve the key Russian market, in 2013 Aweld opened up the OOO Aweld R manufacturing plant in Rzhev, Russia.
Extensive experience in anti-wear protection
Aweld employs a significant number of graduate engineers and technicians experienced in the industry. The company can therefore undertake relatively small, but also extensive rebuilds of existing industrial equipment or supply completely new machines. Aweld gets very good results, as the company tells us, thanks to its solutions in the preparation of high-porosity ceramic materials and thin-walled masonry bricks extruded from these. The company is, however, also strong in technical ceramics and the extrusion of difficult-to-process ceramic materials, which are extruded at high pressures from 50 to 80 bar, says Aweld. For these applications, the company supplies screw extruders of its own make from its AWL series of machines.
Aweld can draw on extensive experience in anti-wear protection, where it applies various methods, e.g. hard facing of abrasion-resistant materials with PTA plasma or high-velocity oxygen fuel (HVOF) or proprietary anti-wear protection based on a combination of facing with tungsten carbide materials and Aweld Ceram ceramic plates. The anti-wear protection selected is always individually tailored to the customer‘s requirements and specific problem. The applied solution takes into account the cost aspects, technological (rheological) properties and the service lifetime of the customer‘s machines.
Customers can depend on an all-in customer service, starting with technical consulting, through manufacturing to installation with requisite services, says Aweld. Technical development, high-quality production, quality management system, comprehensive customer service and individual customer support – these are the plus points with which Aweld aims to convince its customers.
