Cleia wins new contract in the Maghreb zone
C leia is revamping five production lines at the IBZ plant in Tunisia. After the SBMT2 brick plant for the Tedjini Group in Algeria, the construction of a brickworks for Almachrek Brick Co. in Libya and the two new brick units for Tejra, there will be a total of nine brick production lines “Made by Cleia” in North Africa.
This new project includes the reconstruction of two complete lines and the revamping of three production lines in one of the largest manufacturing complexes for hollow products in Tunisia, which is owned by the company IBZ – Industrie des Briques de Zeramdine – near Monastir city.
› Two Ecofast tunnel kilns of the latest generation will be erected, these will have anti-corrosion protection owing to sulphur in the raw material
› In loading and unloading, outdated handling systems with grippers will be replaced with robot technology. The robots will be able to realize strapped packs without wooden pallets, which are perfectly adapted to the local delivery trucks. These facilities are equipped with the last technological developments, with Cleia installing at least 28 robots in Tunisia
