Marcheluzzo lands order from Belden
After years of activity in Latin America, Marcheluzzo has now landed its first major order in North America. This key project comprises the installation of a double system for loading/unloading, with the possibility of this system being fed in the future by up to four extruders to optimize product and raw material changeovers. A chamber dryer with ventilated curtain walls and a continuous and uniform ventilation system will ensure homogeneous drying of the customer’s very wide range of products.
Two setting lines will stack the products in a range of different patterns to achieve the same effects as with manual handling up to now. In line with customer requirements, installation of system is scheduled for spring 2018.
One of the requirements to be met by Marcheluzzo is revamping of the cutting and bevelling line, where the customer has set very high sets, for which the Belden group is well known on the American market. The modernization work will be completed in several phases so that the two tunnel kilns currently in operation do not have to be switched off. With the commissioning of the new system, the third kiln is to resume operation following repair work.
This project is another demonstration of Marcheluzzo’s wide range of products and services, which impresses thanks to the development of new solutions and systems and combination of user friendliness with high efficiency.
Marcheluzzo Impianti is also exhibiting at ceramitec, in Hall B5, Stand 300.
