New facing brick setting line for Palautec

Palautec, based in Chiloeches, Guadalajara, is one of the most renowned manufacturers of facing bricks in Spain.

In an ideal setting, the products are distributed on the cars for optimal firing in the kiln, something which setting mechanisms are not always best suited to doing. If one adds variety of product and therefore different setting patterns, and decorative formats of the quality of Palautec’s clinker and facing bricks, this becomes even more difficult.

The project realized by Beralmar was aimed to design a programming system to meet a series of criteria:

Flexibility when configuring the types of settings, for all formats

Gentle treatment of the material to avoid chipping, increasing the quality of the final product

Increase in the line’s production rate

With the successful commissioning of the equipment, the required productivity has been achieved for all formats. The solution implemented by Beralmar enables completely flexible setting with space between the green bricks. The process can be easily configured on a touchscreen. The programming design prevents any type of damage to the material.

The control system uses Beralmar’s new system of intuitive interfaces which are easy to learn and use for the operator.
