Peter Schmidt – now heading Beumer Group‘s palletizing and packaging technology division
At the turn of this year, Peter Schmidt took the reins of the palletizing and packaging technology division at Beumer Group in Beckum. As division head, 48 year-old Schmidt now steers and coordinates the division‘s global competence centre and is responsible both for the global marketing of their broad product portfolio and for strategically driving the ongoing development of their international markets.
Peter Schmidt joined Beumer Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG in 2010 as regional sales manager for southern Germany. He studied technology and biotechnology for food at Technische Universität München-Weihenstephan and industrial marketing and technical distribution at Hochschule Landshut – University of Applied Sciences. Prior to becoming active in distribution, he spent eighteen years as technical manager for a major beverage company.
