Röben Polska – always in action
For more than 20 years now, Röben’s facility in Poland has been operating almost without any interruption. With one facing brick and two roofing tile plants at its Sroda Slaska site, the company manufactures products for the Polish as well as the German and Eastern European markets. Single-layer firing in the two roofing tile plants forms the basis for energy-optimized production.
1 Introduction
Röben‘s success story in Poland began in Sroda Slaska, near Breslau, in 1994 when it acquired a large clay deposit along with an aging backing brick plant.
In 1995, the plant was converted into a brickworks for facing bricks. Back in 1996, the first clay roofing plant was erected, which went into operation in 1997. In 2005, in the third plant, another production line for clay roofing tiles, the first roofing tiles were fired (Zi9/2006, p. 18 ff.).
