Company Ladrilleria Mecanizada (México) gives green light to modernization project designed by Equipceramic, S.A.
Ladrilleria Mecanizada, S.A. is one of the most important manufacturers and exporters of heavy clay products in Mexico. It is internationally known as a company dedicated to the manufacture and trade of roofing tiles, floor tiles, bricks and other heavy clay products. Equipceramic, S.A. supplied the equipment for the dehacking, package making and palletizing lines for one of its brickworks located in Monterrey (Mexico) and producing a wide range of products, such as: King Kong bricks, hollow bricks, insulating bricks, ceiling blocks and terracotta panels. The project meets the wish of this important company to upgrade its facilities to obtain a high-quality dispatch package adapted to trade requirements in the United States. Equipceramic’s design is based on two main axes: improvement of the final product quality and flexibility-adaptability of the new equipment to that already in operation. In line with this course of action, the package-making line has been provided with a turning device that enables the packaging of products in either a flat or upright position. It has also been equipped with a robot for making packages with or without pallets and for inserting spacers between the layers of the package. Products are strapped by means of strapping machines that apply horizontal and vertical straps to the packages. In order to protect products during transportation, certain mechanisms have been installed to automatically place plastic corner guards. Finally, dispatch packages are stretch-film-wrapped at a stretch-film-wrapping station.
Assembly work has already been started, and according to the project schedule, commissioning will take place by the end of 2014.
