ConBuild Vietnam 2009 with low visitor numbers
ConBuild Vietnam counted 127 exhibitors from 21 countries, around one third fewer than at the prior-year event. It covered a total area of just under 5 000 m² (2008: 10 000 m²). Of the exhibitors, approx. 18% came from Vietnam and 82% from other countries. The internationality of the exhibitors had therefore improved considerably compared to 2008. There were official country pavilions for China, Korea, Singapore and Germany. In 2009 the event was attended by what seemed like far fewer visitors than in 2008. In its trade fair report, however, the organizers listed the number of visitors as 5 000, that is just as many as in the year before. Of these, the report stated that 87% had come from Vietnam and 13% from other countries. The internationality of the trade visitors would have increased considerably compared to 2008 (6%), but there was no registration of the trade visitors. Most exhibitors rated the number of visitors as far too low on all the days of the event, and they considered the quality as rather mediocre. According to the organizers, the next ConBuild Vietnam is set to take place from 1 to 4 December 2010 – in Vietnam’s Germany year – in Hanoi again.
