Keller HCW won the Fanuc Award 2016
At the world's biggest trade fair for automation and robotics Automatica in Munich, Keller HCW managing director Dr Jochen Nippel and Keller HCW sales manager Ulrich Hagemann accepted the Fanuc Award 2016 for outstanding achievements in the category ‘Handling’ on 22 June 2016 in the presence of Fanuc President & CEO Dr Yoshiharu Inaba. The prize is awarded every two years; it is an appreciation from the biggest industrial robot manufacture worldwide for sales partners that made a name for themselves on an international scale with their particularly convincing solutions.
In his laudation, Mr Ralf Gronemann, sales director of Fanuc Deutschland GmbH, emphasised that Keller HCW is not only one of the oldest and most renowned machine and plant manufacturers for the international building materials industry but it also counts among the “most innovative machine and plant manufacturers par excellence."
The partnership between Fanuc and the Laggenbeck company began in 1989 with the installation of the first Fanuc robot in a brick factory. Meanwhile Keller HCW installed more than 400 of the yellow robots throughout the world. Once again, presenter Mr Ralf Gronemann expresses: “What makes us particularly happy is that the projects mostly comprise large-scale handling operations. Keller HCW’s routine in operating with large robots cannot be overlooked when watching the Automatica 2016 application. A distinguishing feature of the company has been the outstanding implementation of large-scale projects during the last years.”
For Keller HCW sales manager Ulrich Hagemann the Fanuc Award underlines the high technological expertise of the Laggenbeck robotics specialists not only in the field of heavy clay. “Our handling solutions,” says Mr Hagemann, “can be transferred to many other areas and industries, as it does not matter at all to our highly sensitive and precise grippers whether they are dealing with bricks or frozen pizza. So far, we always succeeded in finding a suitable, that is to say an optimal solution for every challenge.”
