For Lingl, the Krumbach-based plant and machinery supplier, service means far more than just supplying spare parts. Lingl stands for branded service and provides its customers with support over the entire lifecycle of their plant – from maintenance and condition monitoring through plant optimization to training. In 2010 the company reorganized its service department and now offers 30 services in six service units.
1 Service for over 70 years
The concept of service is nothing new at Lingl. The company, which is now managed as a family business in the third generation, has been offering a range of services for a long time. But to be faster and closer to the customer with its services, Lingl has set up some new structures. Headed by Bernd Braun (42), the service department has been reorganized into six units:
› spare parts service
› inspection, maintenance and repair
› condition monitoring
› plant and process optimization
› safety
› seminars and training
