Dear Readers,
ceramitec, the leading international trade show for the ceramics industry, will take place on the exhibition grounds of Messe München from 20 to 23 October 2015. It covers the entire bandwidth – ranging from classic ceramics and raw materials through powder metallurgy to technical ceramics.
The ceramitec trade show is traditionally home to heavy clay ceramics. Among other things, this is confirmed by the fact that more than 100 well-known exhibitors will represent the segment once again in 2015.
Apart from presenting innovations and technologies, ceramitec 2015, like its previous editions, offers a comprehensive support programme featuring a great number of lectures from scientific research and field practice.
Under the banner “Resource Efficiency in the Clay Brick and Tile Industry”, the “Heavy Clay Day” will be organized at ceramitec in conjunction with Zi Brick and Tile Industry International for the third time on Wednesday 21 October.
The focal topic is the efficient use of resources, which certainly constitutes one of the major challenges for the heavy clay industry. Besides the use of raw materials and energy, this topic covers optimum human resources and logistics planning. In the Forum, the lecture programme featuring high-calibre speakers will shed light on this topic with all its facets. Adopting a very practical approach, new energy-saving kilns for firing bricks and the use of alternative fuels, for example, will take centre stage here.
However, the other topics in the support programme will give major impetus to the professionals of the heavy clay industry as well. Thus, the trade show will be opened with a panel discussion themed “ceramitec goes digital”. The Heavy Clay Day will be followed by the Power Metallurgy Day, the Technical Ceramics Day, the country special Iran Day and, last but not least, the CareerDay.
I am delighted to welcome you to ceramitec, the most important date of the year for the industry, and cordially invite you today to attend the support programme. I wish you successful trade show preparations and a pleasant journey to Munich.
