Hart Keramik invests over € 4.5 mill. in new Plant III
According to Anton W. Hart, Director of Ziegelwerk Waldsassen AG Hart Keramik, at this plant, in addition to ceramic flue liners and accessories, stove chamotte has been produced for some time now produced on “quite a different scale” than before. “In view of the trend towards renewable energies, we are convinced that the demand for stoves and tiled stoves is set to increase further”, he explained.
With Plant III, Hart Keramik has made one of the biggest single investments in its company history and concentrated its entire production at one site. On an area of 2000 m², chamotte bricks and tiles for stoves are produced.
Michael Schwarz, Plant Manager at Hart: “Production is fully automatic with state-of-the-art robot technology and an automated rack system. A separate shuttle kiln for firing the products enables an extremely dimensionally stable production and consistent quality.” This guarantees even better machinability and installation of the products. In contrast to the traditional tunnel kiln, the modern shuttle kiln makes it possible to produce in line with demand.
The extruded ceramic flue liner for the “Multikeram” W3G systems is also manufactured at the new Plant III. Production processes and material properties of this flue liner facilitate installation substantially: especially in the case of connections to existing fireplaces, the stove engineer can easily cut out the required opening even with conventional tools such as drill or angle grinder. The risk of material breakage involved in such cutting operations as well as during cutting of the ceramic flue liner to length at the building site remains low. The system offers advantages in the construction of the chimneys: thanks to the length of one metre, faster adjustment of the ceramic flue liners is possible.
