Low-cost und easy-to-maintain
roller mill technology

Following further development, Morando-Rieter presented their new “Genius” roller mill at Ceramitec 2015. This is the successor to the extremely successful Morando “LA” roller mills, with over 900 of these machines installed worldwide. The new “Genius” series widens the already well-known Morando-Rieter portfolio that includes the “Titan” and “Gigant” roller mills for “roller milling, grinding, and comminution”.

The new “Genius” roller mill was designed with special attention to easy maintenance, simple roller gap adjustment, stability of the gap setting and easy operation. This is achieved with an adjustable roller supported on a rocker arm, which is held by means of two hydraulic cylinders. The innovation is in the two cylinders that combine the systems for gap setting, fixing of the set gap and for protection against overload during operation.

Thanks to generously dimensioned supports for the rollers and rocker arms as well as optimized lubrication and sealing, a higher peripheral speed of the rollers and a higher throughput rate are possible, at a roller gap down to 0.9 mm.
