New photovoltaic plant goes into operation
At the beginning of August, the Bavarian Minister of State for Housing, Construction and Transport, Kerstin Schreyer (MdL), gave the starting signal for the commissioning of the new photovoltaic plant of Kellerer Ziegelsysteme (ZMK). In her speech, she welcomed the company‘s commitment to climate protection.
Examples of this are the recycling plant or the new plant for filling the X-series bricks, according to a company statement. The new photovoltaic plant with an output of 750 kWp for the company‘s own use now sets another milestone.
The first photovoltaic system can already cover about 12 per cent of the electrical energy demand. Step by step, all of the company‘s roofs will be equipped with this technology to 3,000 KWp. Furthermore, an urban land-use plan for an open-space photovoltaic plant has been submitted to the approval authority, planned size: 10,000 KWp.
Managing Director Michael Kellerer: „We, the companies involved in solid house construction, are not only fighting for our raison d‘être, but also for our climate and the living space for future generations.“
