Prince takes over Opavsky

Prince Minerals GmbH, a subsidiary of Prince International Corporation, will be exhibiting at the trade fair following its acquisition of Opavsky Emailleschmelze & Glasurenfabrikation.

Prince acquired the German engobe and glaze producer Opavsky Emailleschmelze & Glasurenfabrikation Josef Opavsky und Sohn, Inh. Dipl. Ing. (FH) Heinz Kropp GmbH (“Opavsky”), located in Vallendar, Germany, on 30 August 2017.

The two companies both develop engobes and glazes. The brick, roofing tile and ceramic industries will benefit from the strengths of the combined businesses. Under the Prince Minerals GmbH name, the customers will see an increase in product solutions with an expanded base of frits, engobes and glazes, complemented by high-performance coatings. Research and development as well as technical services will also be extended.

Prince Minerals will provide the same high level of service and attention to detail that customers have received from Opavsky.
