Largest in Asia and the second largest one in the world, The 23rd China International Ceramics Industry Exhibition (Ceramics China 2009) has concluded successfully on June 4, 2009 in China Import & Export Fair Pazhou Complex (Guangzhou). Jointly organized by CCPIT Building Materials Sub-Council and China Ceramic Industrial Association, Ceramics China 2009 has also gained great support from China Building Materials Federation and China National Light Industry Council, as well as Italian Trade Commission, Association of Italian Manufacturers of Machinery and Equipment for Ceramics (ACIMAC), North Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce, Korea Fine Ceramics Association, Korea Ceramic & Tile Industry Co-operative, IVEX, etc.

Ceramics China 2009 has achieved total show space of nearly 55,000 square meters with more than 2,800 booths, 468 exhibitors from home and abroad. They are from Italy, Germany, UK, Spain, France, Korea, USA, Japan, India, Turkey, Singapore, Mexico, Austria, mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, etc. The total area of special constructed stands is 24,540 square meters, accounts for 90.6% of total. As far as the division of exhibition sector is concerned, the organizer has divided the exhibition halls into four professional categories as: Refractory and Kiln Hall, Ceramic Machinery Hall, International Hall, Ceramic Colors, Glazes and Raw Materials Hall.

During the exhibition period, Ceramics China 2009 has received 43,732 visitors from 55 countries and regions, while 39,664 domestic visitors (exclude Hong Kong and Taiwan) accounts for 90.93% of total. Despite the swine flu (H1N1) effect, the number of international visitors still increased to 4,068, 11% more than last year. International visitors mainly come from 54 countries as Thailand, Vietnam, India, Israel, UAE, Indonesia, Malaysia, Iran, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Turkey, Philippine, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Syria, Afghanistan, Korea, Japan, Singapore, Spain, Portugal, UK, Italy, Germany, France, Belgium, Hungary, Ukraine, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Russia, Austria, Poland, Czech, USA, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador, Canada, Peru, Egypt, Morocco, Tunis, Ghana, Algeria, South Africa, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Australia, New Zealand, etc. The respective visitors quantity for the four days’ exhibition is 14,350 for the first day, 15,616 the second day, 10,023 the third day and 3,743 the fourth day.
Interview with Exhibitors:
According to the survey result of the exhibitors, 77.3% are “very satisfied” with the fair, 20.9% “satisfied”, while 8 exhibitors are “unsatisfied” with the fair, accounts for 1.7% of total.
Mr. Paolo Lemma, Trade Commissioner of Italian Trade Commission Guangzhou Office and Mr. Paolo Gambuli, General Manager of Association of Italian Manufacturers of Machinery and Equipment for Ceramics (Acimac) have given high praise about the exhibition scale, services, organizing and management of Ceramics China 2009. According the world economy situation, this kind of exhibition is necessary to bring up the confidence, and Italian technology for Ceramics machinery still is the No.1 in the world.
Mr. Adrian Allen, Chairman of the International Trade Committee of the North Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry has emphasized again that UK companies have paid increasing importance to Chinese market as well as Ceramics China for its optimal platform. He is also very confident of the pleasant business relationship with the organizer of Ceramics China.
Mr. Xiao, Marketing Manager of Guangdong Keda Industrial Co., Ltd. has confirmed the organizing work of oversea visitors. He said: “Oversea visitors exceeded what we expected, especially customers from India, Pakistan, and Vietnam. Keda made more than 100 big projects last few years globally, like Project RAK from UAE; ARAB from Morocco; EMCO from Pakistan; TT from Thailand, and we’re expecting more, Ceramics China is a great platform for us to develop”.

New Exhibits highlight
System brought their new Rotodigit Technology to the fair. The digital printing system that is extremely simple to use on Rotocolor decoration lines. It is possible to decorate any ceramic surface with excellent results in the reproduction of natural stone, marble, granite and in decorating over relief and textured surfaces or in a double pressing process. System made it possible to obtain excellent results with even shorter times, smaller spaces and lower production costs.
Sacmi PH7500: As part of its ongoing product improvement policy. Sacmi recently launched its new Imola series range of hydraulic pressed. This technically advanced range with renewed design is headed by the model PH7500.
Sertam Digital technology: They bring their Pink Printer to Ceramics China 2009. It is the first time this Printer shows out of Europe. The photographic quality resolutions up to 720 dpi, the space saved with compact production lines, 6 colors can be use, it is relay a revolution of Ceramics industry. Ceramics Industry Development Forum 2009
The Forum 2009 was arranged in the Hall 3.1, where special Zone was well decorated for conference interaction and new products show. Mr. Zhou Zhizhou, vice-president of CCPIT Building Materials Sub-Council hosted the two parts, centered on “Strengthen Cooperation to Conquer the Hard Times”. Mr. Liu Yao from China Ceramic Industrial Association was invited to release the Ceramics Industry Development Report 2009 together. Mr. Chen Huan, vice president of Guang Dong Ceramics Association, introduced the status quo of Guangdong ceramics industry, and problems may the whole industry of China encounter. Mr. Adrian Allen, Chairman of UK North Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce & Industry, made a special speech of “Thriving in a Recession”, to share his rich experience on confidence building and problem solving. In the Interview Part, representatives from Monalisa, Ceramic Town Weekly, and Ceramic Industrial Association, staged a serious but humorous dialogue among manufacturers, associations, and suppliers, and analyzed the challenging situation from 3 different insights.
T-Platform Show for New Products & New Tech
Siemens LTD., China made a special presentation for “Siemens Auto-Series” on the second day. Eirich Group China CO., LTD. promoted its “EcoPrep--dry preparation of press granulation for tiles”. Sacmi continued its annual technical innovation seminar once more, and focused on “Energy Saving” this time.
